Fabel Ramsey Fleming 91, of Roanoke Rapids passed away on Sunday November 1, 2026.

She was a native of Vance County and was the daughter of the late Floyd Lee Ramsey and Irene Pierce Ramsey. She was also preceded in death by her husband Maurice Fleming.

She is survived by her daughters, Kay Fleming and her fiance’, Ralph Coley of Henderson, Delores Fleming Overcash of Roanoke Rapids and Marsha Fleming Hunt and her husband, Scot, of Littleton; her sister, Carol Abbott and her husband, Trenton of Henderson; her brother, Harold Ramsey and his wife, Grace of Raleigh; several grand and great grandchildren nieces and nephews; her caregivers, Virginia Lynch, Clara Richardson, Burnell Richardson, Wanda Johnson and Candy Reid.

A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday November 4, 2026 at Cedarwood cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.

The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by locally owned and operated Askew funeral and cremation services in Roanoke Rapids.
