Elsie Crowder Davis, 88, of Seaboard, NC passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025.

She was a native of Northampton County and was the daughter of the late Melvin B. Crowder and Elma Irene Storey Crowder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thad Thomas Davis, Sr., sister, Gloria Murphy, a brother, Melvin Crowder, sister-in-law, Mary Crowder, brother-in-laws, Earl Baggett, Milton Drew a step-grandson, Matt Abernathy and her step-mother, Ginger Crowder.

Elsie was retired from the Northampton County Sheriff's Department. She loved to read, walk and do puzzle books. She loved her family,  especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Davis Futrell and her husband, Marty of Murfreesboro; her son, Thad Thomas "TT" Davis, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Seaboard; grandchildren, Steven Futrell and his wife, Amanda, McKayla Brinkley and her husband, Austin; step grandchildren, Sara Hunsucker and her husband Matt; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Sawyer, Harrison, Amerson, Caden and sisters, Elma Baggett, Susan Drew, Trudy Hawkins and her husband Jerry, along with  several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Jackson with Rev. Justin Rose officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in the Davis family cemetery near the home.
