Ella Louise Johnston Lassiter, 78, of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away on Friday March 4, 2022. Ella was a native of Halifax County and was the daughter of the late, James Russell and Nellie Reese Johnston and was also preceded in death by her sister, Judy Johnston; her eight brothers, Edgar, Joe, Freddie, Willie, George, Wayne, Wade, and Lee Johnston; also, her daughter, Marie Carter and her son Johnnie Lassiter. She is survived by her daughter, Tina Mosley of Gaston, NC her two sons, Wilbur Carter Jr. of Littleton, NC and Donald Scott Lassiter and Samantha Gregory of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her three sisters, Mary Wynn of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Ann Murphy and her husband Steve of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Marie Bailey and her husband Jerry of Emporia, VA; her four brothers, W.G. Johnston, Wesley Johnston, Michael Johnston and his wife Patti and Eddie Johnston all of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her five grandchildren, Brittany Skinner, Donnie Mosley, Codie Lassiter, Phillip "P.J." Patterson, Brooklyn Lassiter and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held Monday March 7, 2022 at 11am in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC. The family will receive friends from 9:45 until 10:45 am at the funeral home on Monday.
