Elizabeth Leigh Hamill Speight, 67 of Enfield, NC passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

She was born in Nash County on April 24, 1955 to the late, Edward Lee Hamill and Betty Lewis Hamill.

Elizabeth loved her grandbabies, hummingbirds, and a good meal. She enjoyed talking to anyone and going to consignment stores and finding a good deal. Elizabeth was an animal lover and enjoyed watching Andy Griffin and westerns.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Donny "D.J." Wanye Speight Jr., George Clay (Macy); her sister, Betty Jo Hamill Stallings (Allen) and her grandchildren, Mason Clay and Rylielynn Clay.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Susan Joyce officiating.

Interment will follow in the Lewis Family Cemetery on Ringwood Road in Enfield, NC.

The family will visit with friends on Sunday, November 13, 2022 from 1:00 PM until service time at the church.
