Elaine F. Griffon, 86, of Roanoke Rapids, NC (formerly Englishtown, NJ) passed away after a short critical illness on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.  Elaine graduated from Ann May School of Nursing in 1957 as a registered nurse.  Her career took her from Jersey Shore Medical Center to being a school nurse, then back to a hospital, Freehold Area Hospital.  After a lifetime of nursing, she and Boyd retired to their dream home in North Carolina.  Elaine was an avid knitter (not crochet), cook and baker, seamstress and crafter.  As Boyd says "chief cook and bottle washer".  Along with those activities, Elaine liked the great outdoors as an avid camper.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Boyd; daughter, Sherri and son in law Dennis; son, Mark, and daughter in law, Sandra; granddaughter, Alana; daughter, Bonnie and multiple grand fur babies. Elaine is also survived by her last remaining sibling, Norma along with multiple nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Stanley White Presbyterian Church with Wally Spragins officiating.   Final burial will be in Old Tennent Church Cemetery, Manalapan, New Jersey.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association.
