Edwin Gregory Tillery, 71, passed away on December 13, 2023.

Greg was born on August 23, 1952 to the late Charles Lee Tillery, Sr. and Eugenia Brickell Tillery. He was a graduate of Weldon High School, attended NC State and was an avid Wolfpack and Boston Celtics fan. He loved sports and was a gentle kind person. He retired from Tillery Correctional institution in Tillery.

Greg is survived by his brothers, Charles Lee Tillery, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Tillery, John Bruce Tillery and his wife, Tracey of Charlotte, Junius Brickell Tillery and his wife, Debbie of Arlington, Virginia; his sisters, Julia Tillery McCollum of Raleigh, Sherry Tillery and her husband, Chuck Latimer of Portland Oregon; nieces and nephews, Mary Leigh Tillery, John Tillery, Julia Busch, Evan Tillery, Oriana Tillery and many grand nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Halifax with Rev. Sonny Browne officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
