Jeane Woodley of Rocky Mount, NC, passed away on June 7, 2021. She was born on April 12,1943 in Halifax NC. Jeane is survived by her husband Wade L. Woodley her two children: Tracey Fotta Messick (Raymond Michael Messick) of Mechanicsville, MD and Stephen G. Fotta of Doswell, VA; her grandchildren: Tyler, Michael, Hunter and Alexandra Messick; her brother Steve Williams of Halifax and many special nieces and nephews. Jeane grew up in Halifax, NC. She attended Campbell University and later moved to the Washington, DC area where she worked in Senior Management at The Epileptic Foundation, Better Business Bureau and the American Hospital Assn. She later moved back to the North Carolina area where last resided. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved sports, traveling, gardening and was active in her church. She had a big heart and was always there for those who needed her. She knew no strangers, only friends and welcomed everyone as if they were family. She was proceeded in death by her father, Arthur Louis Williams and her mother, Dorothy Mae Williams Matthews, her brother Robert Williams and sister Linda Williams Lawrence. A service will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11:00 am at Askew Funeral & Cremation Service 731 Roanoke Avenue Roanoke Rapids. Visitation will immediately follow after the memorial service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association www.heart.org
