Donald Lynn Jenkins, Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Lynn Jenkins, Jr., who passed away on April 1, 2024 at the age of 60. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Lynn was born on August 19, 1963 in Ahoskie, North Carolina to his mother, Blanche Elsie Howell and his deceased father, Donald Lynn Jenkins.

Lynn is survived by his mother, Blanche Elsie Howell and his step-father, Dyerl Franklin Howell; his wife, Holly Nadine Jenkins; his children, Caitlyn Jenkins Pabon (Elliot Pabon-Garcia) and Donald Lynn Jenkins III; his grandchild, Elliott Nolan Pabon, and his uncle, Barry Jenkins.

He was preceded in death by Harry Jenkins, Dwight Jenkins, Thomas Barnes, Samuel Barnes, Walter Barnes, James Barnes, Mae Barnes Drake, and Martha Barnes Clark.

A visitation will be held on Monday April 8th from 6:00-7:30 PM at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 in the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services officiated by Lynn's friend and Funeral Celebrant, Gabe Mitchell.

Interment for the family will take place after the service at Potecasi Baptist Church Cemetery beside his father.

In addition to flowers, donations may be made to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention North Carolina.

The greatest legacy one can pass on to one's children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one's life, but rather a legacy of love for others and profound commitment to family.
