Donald Angus Holdford 78, of Roanoke Rapids died Tuesday October 5, 2021. He was the son of the late Jesse Hyman, Holdford, Jr and Helen Branham Holdford. Donald was a Veteran of the United States Airforce and was retired from International Paper as a Mechanic and was working with his brother Judge at Holdford Hardware in Enfield. He loved turkey hunting and was an avid wildlife enthusiast. He is survived by his son, Donald Bryan Holdford of Roanoke Rapids; his sister Betsy Holdford of Halifax, his brothers, Judge Holdford and his wife, Linda of Halifax and Monte Holdford and his wife, Janet of Roanoke Rapids; his aunt Jean Branham of Halifax. He had a multitude of friends and a close friend and neighbor Amy Lifsey. The family will receive friends Friday October 8, 2021 from 6:30-8 pm at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids.
