Deborah Lynn Rogerson, 56, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021. Lynn was a native of Roanoke Rapids. She was a 1983 graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School and a 1987 graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Education. She spent her career educating children in the Halifax County School System, teaching at Everetts Elementary, McIver Elementary and William R. Davie Schools. Lynn was a member and enjoyed singing in the choir at Good News Baptist Church. She is survived by her parents, Billy and Paula Rogerson of Roanoke Rapids; her two brothers, Jason Rogerson and his wife, Lindy of Littleton and Adam Rogerson and his wife, April of Supply, NC; her niece Ruby Rogerson and her nephews, Paul and Fisher Rogerson. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Good News Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy King officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on December 3, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at Good News Baptist Church.
