David Earl Vaughan 78, of Jackson died Tuesday December 13, 2002 surrounded by his loving family.

He was a native of Northampton County and was the son of the late Johnnie Wilson Vaughan and Gladys Cone Vaughan. He was also preceded in death by his son, David Earl Vaughan, II, a sister, Sandra Barnes and his brother, Billy Vaughan.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Price Vaughan; his two daughters, Phyllis Vaughan-Clark and her husband, Tony of the home and Cindy Vaughan Hall and her husband, Ronnie of Ahoskie; seven grandchildren, Patrick White and his wife, Kendra, Charles White and his wife, Tommie, Jessica Jones, Shannon Williams and her husband, Paul, David Earl Vaughan, III, Chelsie Vaughan and Anthony Clark; seven great grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren; his sister, Elizabeth Capp and her husband, James of Roanoke Rapids and a special nephew, William "Peanut" Vaughan.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday December 19, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Jackson, with Rev. Raleigh Johnson officiating.
