David Alan Jones of Louisburg died Saturday June 5, 2021 with his family by his side. He was Born in Edgecombe County June 13, 1959 to the late Thomas Ray Jones, Sr and Peggy Ann Rogers Jones. He was a 1977 Graduate of Halifax Academy. After to High School he joined his father in the logging business and worked with him until he started his own logging business in 2001. David is survived by his wife, Becky Clary Jones; their son Daniel Jones also of Louisburg; his sister, Rachel Jones of Louisburg; his brother, Tommy Jones and his wife, Gwen of Roanoke Rapids; nephew, Trase Jones and his wife, Bailey of Rolesville; mother-in-law Marian Lea Clary of Gasburg, Virginia; sister-in-laws, Angela Page and her husband, Jim of Gasburg, Virginia and Cheryl Bowen and her husband, Wade of Lawrenceville, Virginia; brother-in-law Daryl Clary of Gasburg Virginia; special friends Bryant Barnett and his wife Crystal of Lousiburg and his fur baby Bruiser. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday June 9, 2021 at 3 pm in the Chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids with Ministers Greg Hand and Kevin Conner officiating. Interment will be in the Episcopal Cemetery in Scotland Neck. The family will receive friends from 2 pm until service time on Wednesday.
