Darrin Keith Davis, 58, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023.

He was born in Halifax County and was the son of the late Larry Wayne Davis and was also preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence "Scott" Davis, his step-father, John Futrell, and his loving cat, Roxy.

Darrin was a graduate of Murfreesboro High School and Cosmetology School. He was a longtime hairdresser in the Roanoke Rapids area. His love in his profession was doing hair for weddings, which he did many over his career.  Darrin was also a Veteran of the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his mother, Inez Ivey Futrell of Roanoke Rapids; his aunts, Margo Smith McElhenney and her husband, Charles of Roanoke Rapids and Angel Whitby and her husband, Andy of Weldon; his uncle, Roland Davis of Roanoke Rapids; his special cousin, Tammie Raby Smith and her husband, David of Louisville, KY and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Jimmy King officiating.

The family will receive friends after the service.
