Danya Willey Birdsong, 82, of Halifax, died on Monday morning, January 29, 2024.

She was a native of Halifax County and was the daughter of the late James Clifton Willey and Mabel Cooke Willey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Russell Lawrence Birdsong. She was the owner/operator of Danya's Beauty salon in Halifax for many years.

Danya is survived by her daughter, Paige Birdsong of Raleigh and her son, Randy Birdsong of Halifax.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Halifax Methodist Church Cemetery in Halifax with Rev. Avery Lail officiating.
