Claude C. Godsey, 93, of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital.

He was born on January 27, 1932 to the late Robert and Madie Conner Godsey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada Matthews Godsey and his daughter, Betty Jean Tucker.

Claude is survived by his children, Robert Wilson Godsey, Ronnie Neal Godsey, Annette Everette, and Loretta Ash; his brother, Frank Lewis Godsey; many grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Askew Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Mark Wethington officiating.

Interment will follow in the old Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Askew Funeral & Cremation Services from 12:30 PM until service time.
