Clara Lucille Daniel Freeman, 88 of Weldon, NC passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021. She was born on February 12, 1932 in Halifax County, NC to the late Clyde Ray and Lucy Clara Carter Daniel and was preceded in death by her husband, William Carlton Freeman, Sr., her sons, William C. "Root" Freeman, Jr., Carl Dempsey "Doodle Bug" Freeman and her Daughter-in-law, Cindy Freeman Blythe. Clara was a member of First Christian Church in Roanoke Rapids, NC. Her family was the center of her world. She is survived by her two daughters, Janet Holdford and her husband, Montie of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Tammy Griffin and her husband, Randy of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her son, Steve Freeman and his wife Odessa of Wake Forest, NC; her daughter-in-law, Lynne Freeman of Clayton, NC; her nine grandchildren, Lisa Creech, Tina Barnes, Mark Freeman, Carla Freeman, Randy Griffin, III, Zoe Freeman, Kelly Dickerson, Chris Freeman, Josh Freeman; great grandchildren, Bailey Creech, Ryan Barnes, Cassie Barnes, Makaleigh Moore, Ryne Moore, Taylor-Jane Moore, Ashton Freeman and Emory Griffin; Little Brother, Cliff Daniel and his wife Connie of Roanoke Rapids, NC and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 2pm in the chapel of Askew Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Randy Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Weldon. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the funeral home from 6:30 until 8pm.
