Christy Tippett Lyles, 47, of Roanoke Rapids passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022. A native of Halifax County, she was the daughter of the late Shelton Arthur Tippett. Christy was an active member of First Christian Church of Roanoke Rapids. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of almost 25 years, Travis Lyles; her daughter, Chloe Lyles and her son, Jacob Lyles, both of the home; her mother, Barbara White Tippett of Roanoke Rapids; brothers, Tony Tippett and Kricket Crews of Emporia, Virginia; Robert Tippett and his wife, Tina of Hopewell, Virginia; her mother in law, Geneva Mae Lyles, of Roanoke Rapids; sister-in-law, Mattie Tanner and her husband, Rodney of Roanoke Rapids; brother-in-law, Kelly Lyles, of Richmond, Virginia; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church with Dr. Bane Angles officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. at Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids. Masks are optional while attending.
