Christopher "Chris" Scott Ferrell 35, of Roanoke Rapids died Tuesday October 12, 2021, He was a native of Halifax County and was the son of the late Michael Wayne Ferrell and his grandfather Steve Floyd. Chris was a great father, loved his children and enjoyed taking them fishing. He was also an avid drag car racing fan. He was owner and operator of M&F Quality Construction along with his partner Kenneth Mills and his wife Breanna. Surviving is his fiancée Ashley Brooks and their children, Landen, Ryleigh, Caiden, Kolton and Lynleigh; his mother, Wendy Edwards Turner and his stepfather, Michael Turner of Gaston; sister Heather Bailey and her husband, Brandon of Roanoke Rapids; maternal grand parents Cliff and Connie Daniel of Roanoke Rapids; Ozzie Edwards and Norma Edwards of Seaboard; paternal grand Parents, Frances and Fred Brewer of Littleton; his father and mother-in-law, Kenny Tracy Brooks of Virginia. Funeral Services will be held Sunday October 17, 2021 at 2 pm in the Chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Matt Reider officiating. Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:30-8 pm at the Funeral Home.
