Catherine Floyd Britton, 96 of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021. She was born in Brunswick County Virginia on December 6, 1924 to the late, Samuel Blick and Addie Wray Floyd and was preceded in death by her husband, Crawford Britton and her sons, Joey Floyd Britton and Darrell "Bubba" Wingate Britton. Catherine was a member of Rosemary Baptist Church and retired from J.P. Stevens with 25 years of service. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Britton Crawley and her husband, Jarman of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her grandchildren, Amy Crawford and her husband, Nathaniel Crawford, Sarah C. Taylor and her husband Joel, Karen C. Anderson and her husband Jon; her great grandchildren, Madison and Jacob Crawford, Dillon Jenkins, Rylan Taylor and Miles Anderson; her brothers, Charles Floyd of Fort Worth Texas, Robert Floyd of White Plains, Virginia and Carter Floyd of Lawrenceville, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 2:30 pm in the Chapel of Askew Funeral Services with Dr. Layne Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 1:30 pm until service time.
