Carlton Moody Harris, Sr., 83, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025.

He was a native of Halifax County and was born to the late Jessie Bernard Harris and Jewel Wall Harris. He was also preceded in death by his former wife, Hazel P. Harris; his son, Carlton Moody "Bunny" Harris, Jr.; brothers, Joe Harris, Danny Harris; and a sister, Geraldine Tripp.

He is survived by his daughter, Kim Walls and her husband, Robert; his grandchildren, Tiffany Harris, Ashleigh Lyons and her husband, Zach, and Colby Lance Walls; great grandchildren, Kadence Love (Aaron), Jaden Hayes, Adelyn Lyons and Emersyn Lyons; his great-great grandchildren, Nova and Maisie; and his sister, Vickie Harris Belangia.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
