Mrs. Camilla Taylor Cannon, age 81 of Seaboard, NC passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025 at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

Mrs. Cannon was born on April 24, 1944 in Northampton County, NC. She was the daughter of John Lewis Taylor and Gertrude Davis Taylor and was also preceded in death by her husband, Garland R. Cannon, her sisters, Ida Mae Allen, Ethel Wheeler, Martha Griffith, Winnie Davis, and Delores Hoggard, and her brother, Lewis Fleetwood Taylor.

She is survived by her children, Teresa Whitley and her husband, Carl; Luresa Tyler and her husband, Robert; Garland Cannon, II and his wife, Sarah. She has ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2025 in the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids with Justin Rose officiating. Burial will follow at (old) Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC.
