"Butch" William Alexander Rhome, age 79, of Tarpon Springs FL formerly of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away on February 26, 2020 with his family by his side. "Butch" was born in 1940 in Halifax County NC to the late Frank Earl Rhome and Kathleen Buck Rhome. He was an avid outdoorsman and was a I.T. manager in the sporting goods industry. "Butch" is survived by his wife of 58 years, Peggy Hudson Rhome, his daughter, Wendy Leigh Jones and her husband Jim of Raleigh, NC; his son, John Rhome and his wife Paulette of Tarpon Springs, FL; his brother Robert Earl Rhome and his wife Nancy of Cheboygan, Michigan; his four grandchildren, Chip Rhome and his wife JoEllen, William Rhome, Jimmy Jones and his wife, Shelly and Jessie Jones; his four great-grandchildren, Noa Jones, Luke Jones, Amos Jones and Maverick Rhome. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2020 in the chapel of Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids, NC at 2:30pm with Pastors John Rhome and Jason Yeatts officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 1:30 pm until service time at the funeral home.
