Brenda Erwin Moore, age 79, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024 with her family by her side.

She was a native of Halifax County and was the daughter of the late Edith Blythe Erwin. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Arthur "Art" Allen Moore, her son, Arthur "Art" Moore, sister, Nancy Telliga and her husband, Earl and a niece, Aimee Erwin.

She worked at Tots and Toddlers Nursery for several years early in her working career, then went to work at Roanoke Rapids Graded School District and retired as the lunch room manager at Belmont Elementary School.

Brenda is survived by her son, Eric Moore and his wife, Lisa of Denver, NC; daughter-in-law, Karen Moore of Raleigh; brother, Billy Erwin and his wife, Linda of Roanoke Rapids; grandchildren, Colton Moore of Raleigh, Zach Moore of Concord, Ben Langolf and fiancée, Christine Chen, Kaitlyn Johnson and her husband, Zack; nephews, Archie Telliga and his wife, Amy, Michael Telliga and his wife, Sara, Bill Erwin, David Erwin and his wife, Julie.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.

Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 7:00-8:30 PM at the funeral home.
