Betty Gay Kirkland Vaughan, 79, of Seaboard passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026.

She was the daughter of the late Clifton Dudley Kirkland and Ola Ilene Gay Kirkland. She was also preceded in death by her two husbands, Alton Odell Beals and Charles Vaughan, her brothers, Clifton Kirkland and Donald Kirkland.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Hill and her husband, Don of Norfolk, Virginia; her sons, Tim Beals and his wife, Sheri of Roanoke Rapids and Charles T. Vaughan and his wife, Valarie of Sioux City, Iowa; six grandchildren, Chrystal Hill, Katlyn Hill, Cody Beals. Meagan Beals, Elsie Vaughan and Morticia Vaughan; her sister, Linda Lamm and her husband, Gerald of Wilson; cousin, Hilda Whelan and close friend, Cathy Slate.

Per Betty's wishes there will be no services.
