Betty Brickhouse Farless, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at her home. Born in Tyrrell County, NC on April 17, 1932, Betty was the daughter of the late Reba Jones Brickhouse and Mark Brickhouse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald "Gene" Farless and her brother, Willis Brickhouse.

Betty graduated from ECU Teaching School in Greenville, NC. She taught school in the state of Virginia before coming back to North Carolina and making her home in Roanoke Rapids where she continued her teaching career until her retirement.

Betty is survived by her granddaughter, Robyn Lynn Evans (William) of Millersburg, Pennsylvania; her grandson and caregiver, Everette Mark Goettman of the home; great granddaughters, Elizabeth Mayven Inara Evans and Miranda Claire Ceciley Evans, both of Millersburg, Pennsylvania.

A private service will be held at a later date.
