Bernard Berkley Thompson 78, of Roanoke Rapids, passed Monday November 14, 2022 with his loving family by his side.

He was the son of the late Paul Wilson and Olivia Ophelia Hodges Thompson. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Alex, Isaac and Surry Thompson. Bernard was retired from Kapstone Paper Mill after 42 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Daphnea Williams Thompson, his daughter, Kimberly Thompson and her husband, Phillip of Gaston, his son Jason Thompson of the home; his brother, Chubby Thompson and his wife, Kathy of Henderson.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 11:00 am at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, with Minister Bane Angles officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids.
