Barry Wells passed away at his home in Florida on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at the age of 57. He was born March 5, 1963 in Roanoke Rapids North Carolina. He was a graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School Class of 1981. He attended East Carolina University in Greenville North Carolina and then began his career with American Airlines in Raleigh, North Carolina at Raleigh Durham International Airport. He later transferred with the company to Miami, Florida where he worked for 34 years. Barry was a devoted husband and greatly admired by his co-workers, family and friends. He was a wonderful, genuine man with a love for the ocean, boats and jet planes. His beautiful smile was contagious to all around him. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas McArthur Wells. Barry is survived by his wife, Toni Falletta Wells, his brother Danny Mark Wells and his mother Carole Smith Hammack and his stepfather, J.C. Hammack. Memorial Services will be held at Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids, NC on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 2pm with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.
