Barbara Thorne Massey, 83 of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away at her home on Thursday, October 15, 2020. She was born in 1936 and was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Lewis Thorne and was also preceded in death by her husband Edward Massey. She is survived by her daughter, Denene Lofland and her husband, Lee; her sons James "Moose" Massey and his wife Beverly of Enfield, Phillip Massey and his wife Beth of Littleton; her step-daughter, Brenda Alford of Zebulon, NC; her six grandchildren, Christopher Fowler and his wife Stephani, Ellen Proffett and her husband, John, LeAnn Taylor and her husband David, Connor Allen and her husband, Dylan, Phillip Massey and his wife Casey, Ali Massey; and her 7 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 2 pm in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC with Rev. Joe Wall officiating.
