Barbara Jean Lassiter, 75, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024 surrounded by her family.

She was born in Halifax County on April 22, 1949 to the late John Dalton Taylor and Effie Beatrice Davis Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jeanette Taylor and niece, Tina Willis, as well as a nephew, Claude Lee Taylor.

A loving mother, step-mother, sister and beloved grandmother, her memory will live in the hearts of those she loved. Those  cherishing her memory are her daughter, Petrina Robinson (David Allen); grand-daughters, Alexis Robinson and Brittany (Dustin) Spence; sister, Corinne Holmes; brother, John D. (Martha) Taylor; step-daughter, Margaret (Jamie) Bolton; and nephews, Daniel Holmes and W.D. Taylor.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services, Jackson, NC. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Askew Funeral Services, Jackson Chapel with Minister Greg Hurdle officiating, followed by burial at the Davis Family Cemetery.

The arrangements have been entrusted to Askew Funeral & Cremation Services 313 Jackson Street, Jackson, North Carolina, 27845.
