Barbara "Bobbie" Farmer Bailey, 80, of Roanoke Rapids, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 27, 2022 surrounded by family. Bobbie was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on March 23, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Irene and James Farmer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jim Bailey, her sister, Jean King, her sister-in-law JoAnn Wrenn, and two brother in laws, Bob Ashby and Roscoe Wrenn. Bobbie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School, class of 1960. She retired from the Bibb Company and was a member of Rosemary Baptist Church. Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Debbie B. Kerr and her husband, James of Roanoke Rapids; her grandsons, Jordan and Spenser Hargrove; two sisters, Carolyn Ashby of Roanoke Rapids and Ann Harris and her husband Alonza, both of Roanoke Rapids; brother-in-law, Goody King of Roanoke Rapids; sister-in-law Paula Emerick and her husband Ron, of Canonsburg PA; several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Rosemary Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Martin and Dr. Layne Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., FL. 17, and Chicago, IL 60601.
