Angela Denise Gwaltney Hale, 50 of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on March 24, 2025, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was the daughter of the late Nicholas Oliver Gwaltney, IV and Mary Tart Fain and was also predeceased by her stepfather, Frankie Junior Fain, Jr. and her brother, Ronald Craig Burnette.

Angela worked as a Registered Nurse for almost 20 years. She was a loving, protective wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend. Angela was a rock in her family and had an incredible way of taking care of others, encouraging, and lifting others up. She had a "happy go lucky" personality, loved coffee, shopping, going out to eat, loved her Jeep and going to the beach. Her family loved her amazing cooking and her flair for interior decorating. She was an inviting hostess and loved to entertain family and friends in her home. She will be deeply missed and no one will be able to fill her shoes.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of almost 34 years, Howard Hale, III of Roanoke Rapids; her sons, Nick Hale (Katie) of Littleton/Lake Gaston and Tyler Hale (Anna) of Roanoke Rapids; her daughter, Kylie Burnette; her grandson, Carlyle Hale; her mother, Mary Tart Fain; her sisters, Julie Gwaltney of Skippers, VA and Lisa Norris of Sunbury, NC; her father and mother in law, Howard Hale, Jr. and Marilyn Hale; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and a nephew.

Family and friends will be received for a visitation at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services to celebrate Angela's life will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Good News Baptist Church at 11:00 AM officiated by Rev. Jimmy King.
