Alice Marie Parks Edmonds of Jackson, NC passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

She was born on June 28, 1941 in Jackson, NC to the late Sam Lewis Parks II and Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Edgar E. Edmonds.

Alice was an amazing mom.  Her love of family was unending, her compassion and caring of people was incredible and these qualities have been seen in her children.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl L. Lane and husband, Jeffrey of Sahuarita, AZ, Gary E. Edmonds and wife, Crystal of Weldon, NC, Ricky A. Edmonds of Jackson, NC, and Lisa Koehnle and husband, Chris of Toano, VA; grandchildren, Dustin Lane, Joshua Edmonds, Lori Ann Edmonds, Kenny Edmonds, Erica Edmonds, Christopher Hines, and Krista Hines; sister, Shirley A. Smith, and a brother, William "Pete" Henry Parks, along with 7 great-grandchildren, 4 nephews and 1 niece.

Friends and relatives may visit with the family on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at  the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services, 313 East Jefferson Street, Jackson, NC, 27845. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Askew Funeral Chapel, 313 East Jefferson St., Jackson, NC, 27845. Burial will follow at the Jackson Cemetery, Jackson, NC.
