Rocky Mount, NC- Angela Renee' Wrenn Grizzard, 54, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 6, 2025 surrounded by her family and friends.

Angela was born and raised in Roanoke Rapids, graduated from Roanoke Rapids High School and continued her education at Barton College where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. Angela brought her warmth, care, compassion, and work ethic to Home Health and Hospice for many years, then was employed by Gentiva as their bereavement coordinator before moving to Rocky Mount. She loved her family, loved to shop, listen to "her" music, cleaning, and cooking. Her song may have ended but the melody of her life will play on in the hearts of those she touched.

Angela was preceded in death by her father, Ivey Leslie "Bud" Wrenn. Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Ryan Keith Grizzard of the home; sons, Vagan Reid Johnson and Avery Cole Johnson, both of Roanoke Rapids; sister, Jenniffer Wrenn Lewis and husband, Ken Lewis of Nashville; brother, Ivey Leslie "Buddy" Wrenn, Jr., and wife, Kelly of Halifax; mother, Rebecca "Becky" Etheridge Wrenn of Roanoke Rapids; step-children, Chelsea Grizzard, Ryan Grizzard, Madison Grizzard; step-grandchildren, Ethan, Cameron, and Priscilla; sister-in-law, Crystal Smith; and best friends, Shannon Gooch and Sherry Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services, 731 Roanoke Avenue, Roanoke Rapids, NC, 27870. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Randy Martin and Rev. Roy Porter officiating at the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services, Roanoke Rapids.

Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
